The MIC47100YML-TR is a high-speed, low VIN LDO (Low Dropout) voltage regulator from Microchip Technology, capable of delivering up to 1A. Designed for point-of-load applications, it utilizes an NMOS output stage for very low output impedance and fast transient response, making it suitable for microprocessors, DSPs, and FPGAs.
This regulator operates with an input supply voltage range of 1.0V to 3.6V and a bias supply range of 2.3V to 5.5V. The output voltage is adjustable within the range of 0.8V to 2.0V. Key electrical features include a low dropout voltage of 80mV at 1A, high bandwidth for rapid load changes, and PSRR greater than 50dB at 100kHz. It is stable with a minimal 1µF ceramic output capacitor.
The MIC47100YML-TR is available in a thermally enhanced 2mm x 2mm MLF® package, making it an optimal solution for board-constrained applications. The operating junction temperature range is -40°C to +125°C. It also features a logic-level enable input and UVLO (Under-Voltage Lockout) on both supply voltages for easy turn-on.
Applications include point-of-load power supplies, PDAs, DSP, PLD, and FPGA power, as well as low voltage post-regulation for DC/DC converters in portable devices.
