The MIC38300HYHL-TR is a 3A peak, 2.2A continuous output Non-Isolated PoL (Point-of-Load) module from Microchip Technology. It combines a switching regulator with a low-dropout linear regulator to achieve high efficiency and low noise, providing less than 5mV pp output ripple and over 70dB PSRR at 1kHz. The input voltage range is 3.0V to 5.5V, and the output voltage is adjustable down to 1.0V.
This device is designed for point-of-load applications in networking, server, industrial, and wireless base-station equipment, as well as sensitive RF applications. It features overcurrent protection (OCP), overvoltage protection (OVP), and undervoltage lockout (UVLO). The control features include an enable input with active high logic.
The module is housed in a 28-PowerVFQFN / 28-MLF package measuring 6.0mm x 4.0mm x 0.9mm, suitable for surface mount assembly. It operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. The device is RoHS3 compliant (unverified) and is rated for commercial ITE applications.
