The MIC29302BT is a high-current, high-accuracy, low-dropout voltage regulator designed by Microchip Technology. Utilizing a proprietary Super βeta PNP process, it features typical dropout voltages between 350mV and 425mV at full load, along with very low ground current.
This regulator is designed for high current loads but is also suitable for lower current, dropout-critical systems. It provides 3A of output current and can accept an input voltage up to 25V. The output is adjustable, allowing for flexible voltage regulation.
Protection features include overcurrent faults, reversed input polarity, reversed lead insertion, overtemperature operation, and positive and negative transient voltage spikes. The TO-220-5 package is designed for through-hole mounting.
