The Micrel MIC2826 is a four-output, programmable Power Management IC designed for mobile application processors, DSPs, and GPS chipsets. It integrates a single 500mA PWM/PFM synchronous buck regulator with three Low Dropout Regulators (LDOs) and a 400kHz I²C interface.
The device supports programmable Dynamic Voltage Scaling (DVS), power sequencing, and individual output enable/disable controls. The buck regulator features a HyperLight Load™ (HLL) architecture for high efficiency at light loads, low quiescent current, and fast transient response. It operates with an input voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and can source 500mA continuous output current.
The three integrated LDOs each provide 150mA output current with high PSRR and low noise, suitable for I/O, memory, and analog functions. The LDOs operate from a 1.8V to V<0xE2><0x80><0x90>DVIN input voltage range and support DVS from 0.8V to 3.3V in 50mV steps.
This PMIC is available in a compact 14-pin 2.5mm x 2.5mm Thin MLF® package, with a junction operating range from -40°C to +125°C. It includes thermal shutdown and current-limit protection.
