The MIC2807-JJYML-TR from Microchip Technology is a versatile power management IC designed for RF power amplifier applications in mobile devices. It integrates a high-performance 600mA DC/DC converter operating at 2MHz, optimized for low noise and high efficiency. This converter features a DAC input for adjustable output voltage from 0.3V to 3.6V and a bypass mode with a 95mΩ switch.
In addition to the DC/DC converter, the MIC2807 includes dual low-noise, low-dropout (LDO) regulators with high PSRR capability. LDO1 offers a 200mA output current, while LDO2 provides 30mA. The device is designed for stability with ceramic output capacitors and operates within a 2.7V to 5.5V input voltage range.
Packaged in a compact 17-pin MLF® (2.5x2.8mm) package, this IC is suitable for space-constrained designs. It includes thermal shutdown and current limit protection features, making it a robust solution for powering RF sections in CDMA2000, UMTS/WCDMA, Wibro, and WiFi modules.
