The MIC2789-XYMT-TR is a low-current, ultra-small push-button reset supervisor IC designed for reliable system resets. It features two manual reset inputs and two reset outputs, initiating a reset when inputs are asserted low for longer than the set-up delay. This helps prevent unintended system resets. The device supports a wide operating voltage range of 1.6V to 5.5V and consumes a low quiescent current of 2.9µA when not asserted.
Key features include programmable set-up delays of 2.0s, 4.0s, or 6.0s via the PDY input, and factory-programmed reset timeout periods of 140ms or 240ms minimum. It offers dual reset outputs: an active-low, open-drain (/RST) and an active-high, push-pull (RSTP) output for flexible interfacing. The MIC2789 requires external pull-up resistors on its manual reset inputs.
This supervisor IC is housed in a compact 8-pin Thin MLF® package measuring 2mm x 2mm x 0.55mm, making it suitable for space-constrained applications. It operates within an ambient temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Applications include smartphones, MP3 players, portable navigation devices, set-top boxes, and tablets.
