The MIC2027-1YWM-TR is a quad high-side MOSFET switch optimized for general-purpose power distribution requiring circuit protection. Manufactured by Microchip Technology, this device operates within a 2.7V to 5.5V range and provides a minimum continuous current of 500mA per channel.
Key features include internal current limiting and thermal shutdown for device and load protection. The switch offers 150mΩ maximum on-resistance per channel and employs soft-start circuitry to minimize inrush current for capacitive loads. It also includes undervoltage lockout and reverse current flow blocking.
The MIC2027-1YWM-TR is available in a 16-pin SOIC package and is designed for surface mounting. It is suitable for applications such as USB peripherals, general purpose power switching, ACPI power distribution, notebook PCs, PDAs, and PC card hot swap.
A fault status output flag is asserted during overcurrent and thermal shutdown conditions, with a 3ms filter to prevent false assertions. The device is pin compatible with MIC2524 and MIC2527.
