The Vicor MI-RAM-M1 is a Military Attenuator Module designed to significantly reduce output noise, including switching noise and line frequency related ripple, to less than or equal to 10mVp-p across a DC to 20MHz bandwidth. This module is compatible with Vicor MI-Family DC-DC converters, providing the output noise performance of a linear supply while maintaining high power density.
The MI-RAM-M1 supports full attenuation up to a 20A load current. It requires no adjustments and retains essential features of the MI-Family converters such as converter sense, trim, OVP, and OCP. Its fully encapsulated, low-profile package (2.28" x 2.4" x 0.5") meets MIL-STD-810 environmental testing requirements, making it suitable for demanding applications.
This attenuator module is ideal for applications requiring extremely low noise outputs. When combined with an MI-Family converter, it offers a robust solution for noise-sensitive power systems. The module also provides sense-in and sense-out connections for integration with the source converter.
