The MF-SM050-2 is a polymeric PTC resettable fuse from Bourns' MF-SM series. It provides overcurrent protection with a hold current of 0.5A and trip current of 1A. Maximum voltage is 60V and maximum fault current is 40A. Initial resistance is typically 0.35Ω, rising to 1.4Ω after tripping. Time to trip is typically 2.5 seconds at 23°C, with 4W power dissipation in tripped state. Operating temperature ranges from -40°C to 85°C. It is surface mounted in a compact 2-SMD package measuring 7.31mm x 5.44mm x 3.18mm. This component is RoHS compliant, lead-free, and halogen-free, with AEC-Q200 qualification for automotive applications.
