The Bourns MF-R900 is a polymeric PTC resettable fuse designed for overcurrent protection in electronic circuits. It features a hold current of 9.00 A and a trip current of 18.00 A, with a maximum voltage rating of 30 V and a maximum fault current handling capability of 40 A. The device has a low initial resistance range of 0.005 Ohm to 0.01 Ohm and a post-trip resistance maximum of 0.02 Ohm. The time to trip at 40 A is 20 seconds maximum, and typical tripped power dissipation is 4.20 W.
This PTC fuse is housed in a through-hole radial leaded package with dimensions of 24.20 mm x 3.00 mm (length x width) and a height of 32.90 mm. Lead spacing is 10.20 mm. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C, making it suitable for a wide variety of environments.
Typical applications include overcurrent protection in power supplies, battery charging circuits, and motor control systems.
