The Bourns MF-R017 is a polymeric positive temperature coefficient (PTC) resettable fuse designed for overcurrent protection. It is part of the MF-R series and offers a 60V maximum voltage and 170mA hold current. The device automatically resets after the fault is cleared, making it suitable for applications where replacing a fuse is impractical.
The MF-R017 has a trip current of 340mA and a maximum current rating of 40A. Its initial resistance ranges from 2Ω to 3.2Ω, with a maximum post-trip resistance of 8Ω. The time to trip at 0.85A is a maximum of 3 seconds, and typical tripped power dissipation is 0.48W.
