The MDM-9SSL is a 9-position Micro-D receptacle from ITT Cannon's MICRO series. It features female socket contacts terminated via solder cups, designed for panel mount applications with cable-side male jackscrews (2-56) for secure mating. The connector is shielded and comes with a yellow chromate plated cadmium aluminum shell for durability and EMI protection.
Electrically, the MDM-9SSL is rated for 3A continuous current per contact, with a maximum contact resistance of 8 mOhm. It can withstand 600 VAC at sea level and 150 VAC at 70,000 ft altitude, with a minimum insulation resistance of 5000 MOhm. The contact material is gold-plated copper alloy for reliable signal transmission.
Environmentally, the connector operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C, withstands 50 G shock, 20 G vibration, and passes 48-hour salt spray testing. It is rated for 500 mating cycles, making it suitable for harsh environments in aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. The solder cup termination accepts up to #26 AWG wire.
