The MCT62 from QTC is a dual phototransistor optocoupler designed for density applications. Each channel consists of an NPN silicon planar phototransistor optically coupled to a gallium arsenide infrared emitting diode.
Key electrical specifications include a continuous forward current of 60 mA and a peak forward current of 3 A. The collector current is rated at 30 mA continuous, with a detector power dissipation of 150 mW at 25°C. The LED power dissipation is 100 mW at 25°C.
This optocoupler operates within a temperature range of -55 to 100°C and has a storage temperature range of -55 to 150°C. The lead solder temperature is a maximum of 260°C for 10 seconds.
The MCT62 is housed in a DIP package, making it suitable for various isolation applications such as AC line/digital logic isolation, digital logic/digital logic isolation, and high frequency power supply feedback control.
