The Microchip Technology MCP9801-M/MS is a digital temperature sensor designed for precise temperature monitoring. It converts temperatures between -55°C and +125°C into a digital word with user-selectable resolution from 9 to 12 bits.
This sensor features an accuracy of ±1°C maximum from -10°C to +85°C and ±3°C maximum from -55°C to +125°C. It operates within a voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and utilizes a 2-wire I2C/SMBus compatible serial interface, allowing multiple devices on a single bus.
Key features include a power-saving shutdown mode and a one-shot temperature measurement capability. The MCP9801-M/MS is available in an 8-MSOP package and is suitable for surface mount applications.
