The MC74HC595ADTR2G from ON Semiconductor is a high-performance silicon-gate CMOS 8-bit shift register. It consists of an 8-bit shift register and an 8-bit D-type latch with three-state parallel outputs. The device accepts serial data and provides a serial output, while also transferring parallel data to the latch.
