The MC74HC238ADR2G from ON Semiconductor is a high-performance silicon-gate CMOS 1-of-8 decoder/demultiplexer. This integrated circuit decodes a three-bit address to one of eight active-high outputs. It features three chip select inputs, two active-low and one active-high, which facilitate demultiplexing, cascading, and chip-selecting functions.
The device operates with a supply voltage range of 2.0V to 6.0V and has an operating temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. The output drive capability is rated at 10 LSTTL loads, and the outputs directly interface to CMOS, NMOS, and TTL logic families. Its low input current of 1.0 µA and high noise immunity are characteristic of CMOS devices.
