The MC74HC165AD from On Semiconductor is a high-performance silicon-gate CMOS 8-bit shift register. It features complementary outputs from the last stage and allows data to be loaded either in parallel asynchronously (when SERIAL SHIFT/PARALLEL LOAD is low) or serially on the rising edge of the clock or clock inhibit (when SERIAL SHIFT/PARALLEL LOAD is high).
This device is suitable for interfacing with CMOS, NMOS, and TTL logic levels. It operates over a wide voltage range of 2.0V to 6.0V and maintains functionality across an extended temperature range of -55°C to 125°C.
