The Texas Instruments MC3486D is a monolithic quadruple differential line receiver. It is designed to meet ANSI Standards TIA/EIA-422-B and TIA/EIA-423-B and ITU Recommendations V.10 and V.11.
This receiver features four independent differential-input line receivers with TTL-compatible 3-state outputs. The outputs provide a high-impedance state when the output enable is at a low logic level. The device supports a maximum signaling rate of 10 Mbps and operates within a common-mode voltage range of -7V to 7V.
Designed for operation from a single 5V supply, the MC3486D has a supply current of 85mA maximum. It is characterized for operation over an industrial temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. The receiver is available in a 16-SOIC package and is suitable for surface mounting.
