The MC33932VWR2 from NXP Semiconductors is a versatile H-bridge power integrated circuit featuring two independent monolithic H-bridges within a single, thermally enhanced package. It is specifically designed for automotive electronic throttle control (ETC) but is also suitable for various low-voltage DC servo motor control applications within its specified current and voltage limits.
This device supports continuous operation from 8.0 to 28V, with transient operation possible from 5.0 to 40V. Each H-bridge can handle inductive loads with currents up to 5.0A peak, and features internal peak-current limiting activated above 6.5A ± 1.5A. The output loads can be pulse-width modulated at frequencies up to 11kHz. A load current feedback feature provides a proportional current output for monitoring by a microcontroller.
Key electrical characteristics include a maximum RDS(on) of 235 mΩ at TJ = 150 °C for each H-bridge MOSFET. The inputs are compatible with 3.0V and 5.0V TTL/CMOS logic levels. The IC includes output short-circuit protection and overcurrent limiting via an internal constant-off-time PWM.
The MC33932VWR2 is supplied in a 44-lead HSOP package with an exposed pad, designed for surface mounting. It meets stringent automotive application requirements and is AEC-Q100 grade 1 qualified.
