MC14106BDTR2G Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The MC14106B is a Hex Schmitt Trigger IC from ON Semiconductor, constructed with MOS P-channel and N-channel enhancement mode devices. This integrated circuit is suitable for applications where low power dissipation and high noise immunity are desired. It can be used to enhance noise immunity or to "square up" slowly changing waveforms.

The device operates with a supply voltage range of 3.0 Vdc to 18 Vdc and features increased hysteresis voltage compared to the MC14584B. It is capable of driving two low-power TTL loads or one low-power Schottky TTL load over its rated temperature range of -55°C to 125°C.

Packaged in a 14-TSSOP, the MC14106B is designed for surface mounting. It offers pin-for-pin compatibility with CD40106B and MM74C14 devices, and can also serve as a replacement for the MC14584B or MC14069UB. The device includes protection circuitry against damage from high static voltages or electric fields, but precautions must be taken to avoid exceeding maximum rated voltages.

This IC is Pb-free and RoHS compliant. Unused inputs should always be tied to an appropriate logic voltage level (VSS or VDD), and unused outputs should be left open.
