Data is shifted on the positive clock transition and can be output serially from the seventh stage. Data is latched on the negative transition of the strobe input. The outputs are controlled by three-state buffers, which enter a high-impedance state when Output Enable is low.

 

This device is designed for serial-to-parallel data conversion and is capable of driving two low-power TTL loads or one low-power Schottky TTL load. It operates over a wide DC supply voltage range from 3V to 18V and maintains functionality across a broad ambient temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. The MC14094BF is pin-for-pin compatible with the CD4094B.
