The MC14018BDG from ON Semiconductor is a presettable divide-by-N counter designed for digital logic applications. It features five Johnson counter stages that are asynchronously presettable and resettable, incrementing on the positive-going edge of the clock signal.
This counter operates within a DC supply voltage range of 3V to 18V and can function across an ambient temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. It is capable of driving two low-power TTL loads or one low-power Schottky TTL load. The device supports synchronous operation and has a positive edge trigger type.
The MC14018BDG is available in a 16-SOIC package, suitable for surface mounting. Division by numbers from 2 to 10 can be achieved by connecting appropriate Q outputs to the data input. Anti-lock gating is included to ensure proper counting sequences. This part is a pin-for-pin replacement for the CD4018B.
This device is Pb-free and RoHS compliant, making it suitable for various electronic designs requiring reliable counting and division functions.
