The MC13191FCR2 is a short-range, low-power transceiver operating in the 2.4 GHz Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM) band. It is designed for applications requiring proprietary point-to-point and star networks based on the IEEE 802.15.4 packet structure and modulation format.
This transceiver features a complete packet data modem compliant with the IEEE 802.15.4 Standard PHY layer. It interfaces with microcontrollers via a four-wire Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) and an interrupt request output. The device operates from a voltage range of 2V to 3.4V, consumes 37mA of current, and provides a maximum output power of 4dBm with a receiver sensitivity of -92dBm.
The MC13191FCR2 is suitable for applications such as wireless sensor networks, factory automation, energy management, and home automation. It is supplied in a 32-VFQFN exposed pad package and supports surface mount installation.
Note: This part is not recommended for new designs. Consider the MC1320x series as an alternative.
