The ON Semiconductor MBRS1540T3G is a surface mount Schottky power rectifier. It employs the Schottky Barrier principle with epitaxial construction, oxide passivation, and metal overlay contact. This device is ideally suited for low voltage, high frequency switching power supplies, free wheeling diodes, and polarity protection diodes.
Key electrical specifications include a maximum repetitive reverse voltage of 40V and an average rectified forward current of 1.5A at 100°C. The peak repetitive forward current is 3.0A, and the non-repetitive peak surge current is 40A. The maximum instantaneous forward voltage drop is 0.46V at 1.5A and 25°C.
This rectifier operates over a temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. It is housed in a compact SMB (DO-214AA) package, ideal for automated handling.
