The MBRD360 is a Schottky barrier rectifier from ON Semiconductor's SWITCHMODE series, designed for high-efficiency power conversion. It features a maximum average rectified forward current of 3A and a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 60V. The device offers extremely low forward voltage drop of 0.6V at 3A and 25°C, with fast switching characteristics suitable for switching power supplies and inductive circuits.
This rectifier is housed in a DPAK (TO-252) surface mount package with epoxy molded case and corrosion-resistant solderable terminals. It supports a junction operating temperature range of -65°C to 150°C and has a thermal resistance of 6°C/W from junction to case. The part is available in tube packaging (75 units) or tape and reel (2500 units) with T4 suffix.
Typical applications include output rectification, freewheeling diodes, and protection circuits in switch-mode power supplies and inverters. The platinum barrier with avalanche guardrings enhances ruggedness against reverse voltage transients.
