The MBRD340RL is a Schottky power rectifier from ON Semiconductor's SWITCHMODE series, designed for use as output rectifiers, free wheeling, protection and steering diodes in switching power supplies, inverters and other inductive switching circuits. These state-of-the-art devices feature extremely fast switching and extremely low forward drop.
Key electrical specifications include a maximum reverse voltage of 40V, average rectified forward current of 3A at TC=+125°C, peak repetitive forward current of 6A, and nonrepetitive peak surge current of 75A. Typical forward voltage is 0.6V at 3A and 25°C, dropping to 0.45V at 125°C. Reverse current is 0.2mA at 25°C and 20mA at 125°C.
The device is housed in a surface mount DPAK (TO-252) package, weighing approximately 0.4 grams.
