The MBRD320G is a Schottky barrier rectifier from ON Semiconductor, designed for switch-mode power supplies and inductive switching circuits. It features a maximum DC blocking voltage of 20V and an average rectified current of 3A. The forward voltage is typically 600mV at 3A, enabling low power dissipation. The device offers extremely fast switching with reverse recovery time less than 500ns and a non-repetitive peak surge current of 75A at 60Hz.
Housed in a DPAK surface mount package (TO-252-3), the MBRD320G has a junction-to-case thermal resistance of 6°C/W and an operating junction temperature range of -65°C to +175°C. It is Pb-Free, Halogen Free/BFR Free, and RoHS compliant. ESD ratings are Human Body Model 3B and Machine Model C.
Typical applications include output rectifiers, free wheeling diodes, protection and steering diodes in switching power supplies, inverters, and other inductive switching circuits. The platinum barrier with avalanche guardrings ensures ruggedness.
