The MBRD320 is a Schottky barrier rectifier manufactured by On Semiconductor, designed for applications such as output rectifiers, free-wheeling diodes, and protection circuits in switching power supplies and inverters.
This device features extremely fast switching speeds and a very low forward voltage drop, characteristic of Schottky barrier diodes. It is rated for an average rectified forward current of 3A at a case temperature of +125°C and can withstand a peak repetitive reverse voltage of up to 60V (for the MBRD360 variant).
The MBRD320 is housed in a DPAK (TO-252-3) surface mount package, making it suitable for compact designs. The package is molded epoxy with corrosion-resistant surfaces and readily solderable leads. It operates over a wide temperature range from -65°C to +150°C.
Key electrical characteristics include a maximum forward voltage of 0.6V at 3A and 25°C, and a maximum reverse current of 0.2mA at rated voltage and 25°C. The device also offers a peak surge current capability of 75A.
