The MBRB4030T4G is a Schottky barrier rectifier from ON Semiconductor designed for high-efficiency switch-mode power supplies. It features a proprietary barrier metal for low forward voltage drop (550 mV typical at 40 A) and fast switching. The device is rated for 30 V peak repetitive reverse voltage and 40 A average forward current (TC = 115°C). It can handle peak repetitive forward current of 80 A and non-repetitive surge current up to 300 A. The junction operating temperature range is -65°C to 175°C. The D2PAK (TO-263-3) surface mount package offers low thermal resistance (1.0°C/W junction-to-case) and is Pb-Free with MSL1 moisture sensitivity. The device is AEC-Q101 qualified and PPAP capable, making it suitable for automotive applications. ESD ratings are Machine Model C (>400 V) and Human Body Model 3B (>8000 V). Guardring protection enhances ruggedness.
