The MBRB2545CT is a dual common cathode Schottky barrier rectifier designed for switchmode power supplies and other high-frequency applications. It features a maximum average forward current of 30A total (15A per leg) and a reverse voltage rating of 45V.
Electrical characteristics include a low forward voltage drop of 820mV maximum at 30A, a non-repetitive peak surge current of 150A, and fast switching inherent to Schottky technology. The device is rated for ESD immunity with machine model >400V and human body model >8000V, and offers a dv/dt capability of 10000 V/µs.
The device is packaged in a surface-mount D2PAK (TO-263-3) case with a junction-to-case thermal resistance of 1.5°C/W and an operating junction temperature range of -65°C to 175°C. It meets MSL1 moisture sensitivity level requirements.
Typical applications include output rectification in AC-DC and DC-DC converters, freewheeling diodes, and reverse battery protection. The D2PAK package enables efficient heat dissipation through the exposed tab.
