This device is a surface mount Schottky power rectifier employing the Schottky Barrier principle with epitaxial construction, oxide passivation and metal overlay contact. It is designed for low voltage, high frequency switching applications.
Key electrical specifications include a peak repetitive reverse voltage (VRRM) of 10V, average rectified forward current (IO) of 2.0A at +125°C, and a low forward voltage drop of 500mV at 2A forward current. The device can handle a non-repetitive peak surge current of 100A. Operating junction temperature range is -65°C to +150°C.
Features such as low leakage current extend battery life, and a guardring provides over-voltage protection. Typical applications include AC/DC and DC-DC converters, free wheeling diodes, reverse battery protection and polarity protection circuits.
The device is packaged in an SMA (DO-214AC) surface mount case with J-bend leads, weighing approximately 70mg. The molded epoxy case meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating. Lead-free (Pb-Free) finish is available (MBRA210ET3G). Standard packaging is 5000 units per tape and reel.
