The MBR6045PT from On Semiconductor is a dual Schottky barrier rectifier in a common cathode configuration. It is designed for high-efficiency power supply applications, offering a low forward voltage drop of 620 mV at 30 A per diode. The device is rated for a maximum reverse voltage of 45 V and can handle an average rectified current of 60 A total (30 A per diode leg).
With a high surge current capability of 500 A (non-repetitive) and an operating junction temperature range of -65°C to 175°C, this rectifier is well-suited for demanding environments. The thermal resistance from junction to case is 1.0 °C/W, ensuring efficient heat dissipation. The device is packaged in a through-hole TO-218-3 (SOT-93) case, which is molded from epoxy that meets UL 94 V-0 flammability standards.
Typical applications include output rectification in power supplies, power management, and instrumentation. The part is available in a Pb-free version (MBR6045PTG) for RoHS-compliant designs. The standard packaging is 30 units per rail.
