The MBR5H100MFST1G from onsemi is a 100V, 5A Schottky barrier rectifier designed for switch-mode power supply applications. It utilizes Schottky barrier technology to achieve low forward voltage drop (typically 730 mV at 5A) and fast switching performance, with a reverse recovery time of 500 ns. The device is rated for peak repetitive forward current of 10A and non-repetitive peak surge current of 200A, making it robust for demanding conditions.
The rectifier is housed in a surface mount SO-8 FL package (SO-8 Flat Lead) with 5 leads, providing excellent thermal performance with a junction-to-case thermal resistance of 2.4°C/W. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C and is MSL 1 rated. The device is Pb-free and RoHS compliant.
Typical applications include output rectification in DC-DC converters, freewheeling diodes, and polarity protection circuits. The NRVB5H100MFS variant offers AEC-Q101 qualification for automotive applications. The part is supplied in tape and reel packaging with 1500 units per reel.
