The MAX982CSA is an ultra-low-power, open-drain comparator designed for single or dual-supply applications. It features two comparator elements and includes an internal 1.182V voltage reference with ±2% accuracy.
This comparator operates from a wide supply voltage range, from 2.5V to 11V for single-supply operation, or ±1.25V to ±5.5V for dual-supply configurations. The input voltage range extends from the negative supply rail to within 1.3V of the positive supply. It offers a typical propagation delay of 12µs with a 10mV overdrive and features programmable hysteresis.
The open-drain output stage allows for wire-ORed configurations. The device is housed in a compact 8-SOIC package, suitable for surface mount applications. Its low quiescent current makes it ideal for battery-powered systems and threshold detection circuits.
