The MAX9693EPE is a dual, ultra-fast ECL output comparator designed by Maxim Integrated. It provides very short propagation delays, maintaining excellent DC matching characteristics. This comparator features differential inputs and complementary outputs fully compatible with ECL logic levels, capable of driving 50 Ohm terminated transmission lines.
With an ultra-fast operation, the MAX9693EPE enables signal processing at frequencies exceeding 600MHz. It includes a latch-enable (LE) function, allowing it to be used in a sample-hold mode. When LE is ECL high, the comparator functions normally. When LE is driven ECL low, the outputs are forced to an unambiguous ECL logic state.
This device is available in a 16-pin DIP package and supports through-hole mounting. It operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The MAX9693EPE is designed for applications such as high-speed line receivers, peak detectors, threshold detectors, and high-speed triggers.
