The Analog Devices MAX934CPE is a quad comparator featuring ultra-low power consumption and an on-board 2% accurate voltage reference. It is suitable for single-supply applications operating from +2.5V to +11V or dual supplies from ±1.25V to ±5.5V. The input voltage range extends from the negative supply rail to within 1.3V of the positive supply.
Key electrical specifications include a maximum quiescent current of 4µA (for MAX931 over extended temperature range), a 1.182V ±2% internal bandgap reference, and TTL/CMOS-compatible outputs that can sink and source current up to 40mA. The propagation delay is a maximum of 12µs with a 10mV overdrive. Programmable hysteresis is also available.
This comparator is ideal for battery-powered systems, threshold detectors, window comparators, oscillator circuits, and alarm circuits. It is available in a space-saving µMAX package and features a 16-DIP package for through-hole mounting. The device operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. Its output stage is designed to minimize power-supply glitches, making it easier to integrate into designs. The MAX934CPE offers 80dB typical CMRR and PSRR.
