The MAX9281GTM/V+T is a high-performance GMSL serializer IC manufactured by Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated. It supports a serial bit rate of up to 3.12Gbps, making it suitable for high-definition video applications such as automotive navigation and rear-seat infotainment systems.
This serializer features a 3- or 4-data lane LVDS input and a CML serial output programmable for 50Ω coax or 100Ω shielded twisted pair (STP) cable drive. The output amplitude is programmable, and it supports audio channels with L-PCM I2S stereo and up to 8 channels in TDM mode, with sample rates up to 192kHz and sample depth up to 32 bits.
The device operates within a core supply voltage range of 1.7V to 1.9V and an I/O supply voltage range of 1.7V to 3.6V. It is housed in a compact 48-TQFN (7x7mm) package with an exposed pad, suitable for surface mounting. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +105°C (TA).
Additional features include a programmable pre/deemphasis for longer cable runs, programmable spread spectrum for reduced EMI, and built-in PRBS generator for link testing. The serial output meets ISO 10605 and IEC61000-4-2 ESD standards.
