The MAX9277GTM/V+ is a 3.12Gbps Gigabit Multimedia Serial Link (GMSL) serializer designed for high-definition video applications. It features a 3- or 4-data lane LVDS input and a CML serial output compatible with 50Ω coax or 100Ω shielded twisted pair (STP) cables.

 

This serializer supports an output amplitude programmable from 100mV to 500mV single-ended (coax) or 100mV to 400mV differential (STP). The audio channel supports L-PCM I2S stereo and up to 8 channels of L-PCM in TDM mode, with sample rates from 32kHz to 192kHz and sample depth up to 32 bits. The embedded control channel operates from 9.6kbps to 1Mbps in various UART and I2C modes.

 

Designed for demanding applications, the MAX9277GTM/V+ has a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 105°C. It meets ISO 10605 and IEC61000-4-2 ESD standards. The device is housed in a 48-pin, 7mm x 7mm TQFN package with an exposed pad, suitable for surface mounting.

 

Key features include programmable pre/deemphasis and spread spectrum for longer cable runs and reduced EMI. It also includes a built-in PRBS generator for BER testing and a dedicated GPO for touch-screen interrupt requests.
