The MAX903ESA+ is a high-speed, low-power voltage comparator manufactured by Maxim Integrated. It features differential analog inputs and TTL-logic outputs with active internal pull-ups. With a fast propagation delay of 8ns (typical) at 5mV overdrive, this comparator is suitable for applications such as fast A/D converters, sampling circuits, line receivers, and V/F converters.
The MAX903ESA+ can be powered from separate analog and digital supplies or a single combined supply. Its analog input common-mode range includes the negative rail, enabling ground sensing with a single supply. The device consumes approximately 18mW per comparator when powered from +5V. The MAX901 variant lacks latches, while the MAX900, MAX902, and MAX903 include TTL-compatible latch inputs. This part is supplied in a 16-SOIC package.
Note: This part is not recommended for new designs due to an unavailable manufacturing process. Maxim Integrated offers newer, pin-for-pin compatible replacements with lower power dissipation.
