The MAX901BCPE is a high-speed, low-power quad voltage comparator manufactured by Analog Devices (formerly Maxim Integrated). It features differential analog inputs and TTL-logic outputs with active internal pull-ups. With a typical propagation delay of 8ns at 5mV overdrive, it is suitable for fast A/D converters, sampling circuits, line receivers, and V/F converters.
This comparator can be powered from separate analog and digital supplies or a single combined supply. The analog input common-mode range includes the negative rail, enabling ground sensing with a single supply. The MAX901BCPE consumes approximately 18mW per comparator when powered from +5V.
The device is available in a 16-DIP (0.300", 7.62mm) through-hole package. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 70°C. It is important to note that this part is not recommended for new designs due to an unavailable manufacturing process.
Key electrical specifications include a maximum input offset voltage of 4mV at ±5V, a maximum input bias current of 10µA at ±5V, and quiescent currents of 15mA, 12mA, or 6mA. Typical CMRR is 82.5dB and PSRR is 80dB.
