The MAX8719ETA+T is a micropower, 8-pin TDFN linear regulator designed to supply always-on, keep-alive power to CMOS RAM, real-time clocks (RTC), and microcontrollers. It operates with an input voltage range of 4V to 28V and provides an adjustable output voltage from 1.24V to 28V.
Key features include a low quiescent supply current of 18µA and a shutdown current of less than 3µA. The regulator can deliver up to 100mA of output current with ±2% output accuracy. It incorporates internal foldback current limiting and thermal shutdown for protection against overload and thermal faults.
The device is housed in a thermally enhanced 3mm x 3mm, 8-lead TDFN package, suitable for surface mounting. Its excellent thermal characteristics allow for up to 1951mW of power dissipation. This regulator is ideal for low-power, high-voltage applications such as notebook computers, smart-battery packs, and housekeeping power for off-line supplies.
