The MAX8662ETM+T is an efficient and compact power management IC (PMIC) from Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated, suitable for portable devices like smart cellular phones and PDAs. It features two synchronous buck regulators, a boost regulator capable of driving up to seven white LEDs, four low-dropout linear regulators (LDOs), and a linear charger for a single-cell Li-ion battery.
Maxim's Smart Power Selector (SPS) technology safely distributes power between external sources (AC adapter, USB) and the battery, supplementing system load peaks or charging the battery when loads are small. The device includes thermal-overload protection to prevent overheating and can operate with no battery or a discharged battery.
This PMIC is available in a 48-pin TQFN package measuring 6mm x 6mm with an exposed pad. It operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and is designed for surface mount applications. The integrated regulators offer high efficiency and specific current capabilities, making it a versatile solution for power management in mobile and handheld electronics.
