The MAX8627ETD+T is a high-efficiency, low-quiescent current, synchronous boost converter designed for portable handheld devices. It generates boosted output voltages from 3V to 5V from a single-cell or two-cell battery.
Key electrical specifications include a 1MHz PWM switching frequency, up to 95% efficiency, and a guaranteed output current of 1.0A. The switch current capability is 3.5A. It operates with an input voltage range of 0.9V to 5.5V and provides an adjustable output voltage from 3V to 5.2V.
The device features True Shutdown, internal compensation, and adjustable current limit. It includes internal soft-start to limit inrush current to a maximum of 500mA and offers a logic-controlled shutdown current of 0.1µA. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C.
Packaged in a compact 14-pin, 3mm x 3mm TDFN package, the MAX8627ETD+T is ideal for space-constrained applications such as DSCs, PDAs, and smartphones.
