MAX8550ETI+T

The MAX8550ETI+T by Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated is an integrated power-supply solution designed for DDR memory applications in desktops, notebooks, and graphic cards. It combines a synchronous-buck PWM controller for VDDQ generation with a sourcing and sinking LDO linear regulator for VTT, and a 10mA reference output buffer for VTTR.

This device supports input voltages from 2V to 28V and can generate output voltages down to 0.7V with output currents up to 15A. The PWM controller utilizes Maxim's proprietary Quick-PWM™ architecture, offering a 100ns response to load transients and programmable switching frequencies up to 600kHz. The LDO regulator can sink or source up to 1.5A continuous current and features high bandwidth for excellent transient response without the need for bulk capacitors.

The MAX8550ETI+T is available in a 28-pin TQFN package, suitable for surface mount applications. It operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. The integrated design simplifies power management for DDR memory systems, reducing component count and board space.

Key features include independent current limits for the buck controller and LDO regulators, adjustable lossless foldback current limit, and overvoltage/undervoltage protection. The device also supports flexible sequencing and standby power management.
