MAX8211CSA+T Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The MAX8211CSA+T is a CMOS micropower voltage detector designed to warn microprocessors of power failures. It features a 1.15V bandgap reference and an open-drain output driver, allowing external resistors to set the desired trip voltage. This device offers a supply voltage range of 2.0V to 16.5V and operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.

The MAX8211CSA+T provides a 5μA quiescent current and ±40mV threshold accuracy. It is suitable for applications such as μP voltage monitoring, undervoltage and overvoltage detection, battery-backup switching, power-supply fault monitoring, and low-battery detection. The device comes in an 8-SOIC surface-mount package.

This voltage detector is an improved second-source replacement for bipolar ICL8211/ICL8212 devices. It includes an on-board hysteresis output for noise-free switching and offers a reset timeout of less than 1ms.
