The MAX791CSE is a microprocessor supervisory circuit designed by Analog Devices to reduce the complexity of power-supply and battery-control monitoring in microprocessor systems. It features precision 4.65V voltage monitoring and a 200ms power-OK/reset time delay, ensuring reliable operation during power-up, power-down, and brownout conditions.
This device includes an independent watchdog timer that can be preset or adjusted, and operates with a low 1µA standby current, making it suitable for portable equipment. The MAX791CSE provides 250mA output in VCC mode and 25mA in battery-backup mode, along with on-board gating of chip-enable signals with a 6ns CE gate propagation delay.
Packaged in a 16-SOIC (0.154", 3.90mm Width) surface mount configuration, the MAX791CSE is designed for critical µP power monitoring applications, intelligent instruments, and portable/battery-powered equipment. It operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
