The MAX7500MUA+T is a digital temperature sensor from Analog Devices, designed for accurate temperature measurement and overtemperature alarm functions. It utilizes a high-resolution sigma-delta analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and communicates via an I2C-compatible 2-wire serial interface.
This sensor operates over a supply voltage range of 3.0V to 5.5V with a typical operating current of 250μA. It provides temperature accuracy of ±2°C (typical) within the -25°C to 100°C range and ±3°C within the -55°C to 125°C range. The resolution is 9 bits.
The MAX7500MUA+T features a timeout function to prevent I2C bus lockups and an open-drain OS output that can function as an interrupt or comparator/thermostat input. It is available in an 8-pin uMAX/uSOP package, suitable for surface mounting.
Key applications include personal computers, servers, office electronics, electronic test equipment, and industrial process control. Its compact size and robust features make it ideal for various embedded systems requiring precise temperature monitoring.
