MAX738AEWE

The Analog Devices MAX738AEWE is a 5V output, CMOS step-down switching regulator designed for efficient power conversion. It accepts input voltages from 6V to 16V and can deliver load currents up to 750mA. The regulator utilizes pulse-width modulation (PWM) current-mode control for precise output regulation and excellent transient responses, with an output voltage accuracy guaranteed to be ±5% over line, load, and temperature variations.

With typical efficiencies ranging from 85% to 96%, the MAX738AEWE minimizes power loss. It features a low quiescent supply current of 1.7mA and only 6µA in shutdown mode. The fixed-frequency switching simplifies output filtering and allows for the use of small external components, requiring only a single preselected inductor value.
