The MAX699CPA from Analog Devices is a precision voltage monitor and power-on reset controller designed for microprocessor and digital systems. It ensures system reliability by supplying a RESET pulse of at least 140ms duration during power-up, power-down, and low-voltage brownout conditions. This device monitors a single voltage supply, with a nominal operating voltage of 4.65V.
Featuring a watchdog timer, the MAX699CPA can monitor microprocessor activity, outputting a low reset signal if the watchdog input is not toggled within 1 second. The watchdog feature can be disabled by leaving the input open. The device operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C (TA).
Packaged in an 8-pin PDIP, the MAX699CPA is suitable for through-hole mounting. Its output is available as open drain or open collector. This component is ideal for critical μP power monitoring applications in computers and intelligent instruments.
