The MAX6816EUS+T is a single-supply switch debouncer IC from Analog Devices, designed to provide clean digital outputs from bouncing mechanical switch inputs. It removes both switch opening and closing bounce after a preset qualification delay. The device features robust switch inputs that can handle levels up to ±25V and are protected against ESD up to ±15kV, making it suitable for harsh industrial environments.
Operating from a single supply voltage range of +2.7V to +5.5V, the MAX6816EUS+T includes undervoltage-lockout circuitry for correct power-up states. It requires no external components and has a low supply current of 6μA, making it ideal for portable equipment. The MAX6816EUS+T is available in a SOT-143-4 surface mount package.
This component is well-suited for applications such as µP switch interfacing, industrial instruments, PC-based instruments, portable instruments, and membrane keypads. Its integrated protection circuitry and simplified interface enhance system reliability.
